Heyyyyy.

I’m Sophie, or SJT if you’re nasty. I’m an NYC born, Nashville raised, multi-hyphenate artist, who may or may not have little demons in my brain that tell me what to do.

I learned early on that art is not only a form of expression, but a tool to talk about the world around us. As I grew up and got more involved in theater, this way of sparking conversations turned into soundtracks, which turned into screenplays, which turned into short films, which turned into full stage productions, and so on. I got back to my NYC roots in 2021, and since being here I’ve focused on projects that tend to involve lesbians, sometimes blood, and always humor. 

I’m an multi-hyphenate artist who focuses on ways to cope with non-male identity and queerness through storytelling. In short: I tend to do it “for the girls and the gays”, and anyone else who is willing to lend an ear. Someday, I dream to be some high schooler’s “edgy”, “tumblr-core”, “underground”, theater hyperfixation: the acclaim we all strive for. And if this doesn’t work out, I can always resort to leading a cult. I think I’d be pretty good at it.
